Quick tips on setting up musical instruments | Disquiet Music Channel

Hey it’s Sam again. Now we’re going to be looking at how to set up instruments like guitar, bass and ukulele. One of the most common things is tuning. To tune a guitar you would need a guitar tuner. Now these can either be apps or separately bought. Personally, I use a guitar app. The thing about these is when you pluck a string, it will show you on here and then correct it. So it will show a plus if it’s too high and
a minus if it’s too low. To keep tuning this you would need to go down to get an E. And to show you it’s in tune, it will come up with a tick and green sign on there. The next thing to talk about is cables. All of these cables can easily be identified. Such as this one, is a power cable. These are mainly used for pianos. Next thing is an XLR. These XLRs can easily be identified by the 3 holes and the 3 prongs. Now one of these goes to the amp, one of these goes to the microphone. This is a 1/4 inch jack. These can be used
for guitars and basses and this goes straight to the amp. The main to watch out for this is to plug all these in, and then turn the power on. Otherwise, there can be risks of damaging equipment. And one last thing is you’ve got to make sure you’ve got the right storage space to store your precious equipment and cases in. Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to like
