Slideshow Maker: Create Cool Slideshow with Your Photos and Music!

How do you make a slideshow from photos? This tutorial will help you create a video
short using your holiday pictures – plus, you’ll learn how to add music, animated titles, neat transitions, and fades – all using Movavi Video Editor. Step 1.Open the Movavi Video Editor program. If you don’t have it installed, click here
and follow the download and set-up instructions. Step 2.Import your photos and music . To do this, click the Import button and then the Add Media Files icon. Find the folder with the files you want, select
the photos and the audio file for the soundtrack, and click Open. The Media tab will open automatically, and
the files will appear. Add all the media files you need for the project
at this time. Step 3.Add your photos to the video track. Select the program’s Storyboard Mode, which
is designed especially for working with still images. Choose the group of photos you want to use
for the slideshow, and drag-and-drop them onto the video track below. Use the pop-up window to set up the slide
display duration. Four seconds is a good starting point. Click OK. Step 4.Set up the frame transitions. Select all the image frames on the Storyboard,
then open the Fades tab and choose a frame transition – Page Turn is a good one to
start with. Click the Settings button to adjust the transition
timings. Let’s change the Duration to 1 second. Then click Apply. The selected frame transition is now applied
to all the slides. You can also set up transitions between individual
frames – select a single transition icon between two slides, open the Fades tab, and
chose a different transition. You can apply and adjust as many as you want. Step 5.Enhance the quality of your video and add
some special effects. Select all the frames on the Storyboard and
open the Effects tab. First, let’s enhance the image quality – to
do this, choose Auto Contrast from the list of effects. Click the Settings button and check the Auto
Contrast, Auto Saturation and Magic Enhance options. The improvements will be applied to all the
slides. You can also modify the image settings for
individual slides if you wish. In addition to image enhancement, the Effects
menu also offers a wide variety of special effects and animations to liven up your video. To see how this works, select the first slide
on the Storyboard, go to the Effects tab, choose Falling Objects, and click Apply. You can even use multiple effects on a single
slide, if you wish. Step 6.Add Fade-In-Out to the first and last slides. To do this, select the first slide on the
Storyboard. Right-click and select Fade-In-Out from the
pop-up menu, check Fade-In and set the duration to 2 seconds. Right-click the slide again and choose Duration. Set the duration to 6 seconds instead of 4
and click OK – it’s usually a good idea to extend the slide display duration if Fade-In-Out
is applied. Repeat the same process for the last slide,
but this time choose Fade-Out. Don’t forget to expand the slide display duration
as well. Step 7.Add titles. To add titles and music, switch to the Timeline
Mode by clicking the appropriate button. Open the Titles tab and choose a title style
– start with a simple Description. Now drag and drop the icon onto the Title
Track on the Timeline above the slide you wish to add the text to. You can adjust the duration as necessary,
but consider how this will impact the slide. Next, click Settings and enter the text. In the preview window, you can resize and
reposition the title on the frame. Once the first slide is titled to your satisfaction,
go ahead and apply titles to the other slides as necessary. Experiment with different title styles. Add comments to events… insert speech bubbles… even caption your entire slideshow. You can also modify the font, color, text
animation, and background. If you want to place several titles on a single
frame, perhaps to tag different people in the image, you need to add a second title
track. To do this, click the plus- sign above the
timeline and choose Title Track. Add your extra title to this new track. Step 8.Add music. Open the Media Library by clicking the Media
button in the Timeline Mode. Select the audio file you wish to use as a
soundtrack for your slideshow and drag and drop it onto the audio track on the timeline. To remove any unwanted parts, place the red
playback indicator at the end of the last slide. Click the Split button above the timeline,
then delete the unwanted segment by selecting it and pressing Delete on your keyboard. You might want to add a smooth fade-out effect
– to do this, right-click the audio track and select Fade-In-Out in the pop-up menu. Check Fade-Out and set the duration to 3 seconds. Click OK. Step 9.Save your slideshow. Preview your slideshow in the preview window
and make sure it’s just the way you want it. When you’re satisfied, click
Save Movie and Save as Video File. In the new window that appears, choose the
desired format or preset and click Save. And there you have it – your winter holiday
slideshow is done! We have enhanced family photos… inserted smooth transitions… added visual effects… titles… and the soundtrack. Now you can follow the link to see the results. Download Movavi Video Editor today and start creating your own slideshows from the family photo album!
